WHAT INSPIRES ME
Photography has been a fundamental part of my life since childhood, deeply influenced by my family’s legacy. Following in their footsteps as a third generation photographer, I began my journey as a photographer at the age of 10, with a childlike wonder and camera in hand. Exploring the world through the lens of a camera became a way of seeing and experiencing life.
In 2017, I transformed my lifelong passion for photography into a professional pursuit. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, where I committed myself wholeheartedly to mastering my craft and sharing my vision with the world.

MY WHY
In 2017, I began documenting the day to day moments in the ways in which I romanticized life. I fell in love with the beauty of humanity. I wanted to capture the liminal phases of life, those raw and intimate, “in between,” moments held within a breath, and offer something beyond conventional milestones.
Being in front of the lens with Melanie was such a tender experience. You can truly tell that she is in tune with her subject and channels this sensitivity into her artistry. Thank you for being a calm presence that brought out such natural imagery. I will cherish these images forever.

MY PURPOSE
I created Melanie Rising Photography to celebrate the intricacies and experience of Womanhood, foster Sisterhood and honor Motherhood. We are all giving birth to something, be it our littles or our businesses, they are our legacy.
